Introduction

Sharon wants to help keep the environment clean but she isn’t sure what the environment is. Would you like to help Sharon discover her environment? Would you like to help Sharon think of ways to keep her environment clean?

Your quest is to discover what environment means and to explore ways that you can help improve your environment.

 

The Task

  1. Read the story, "Sharon Finds the Environment."
  2. Discover where Sharon found her environment.
  3. Research 2 ways you can help keep your environment clean.

4. Discover ways to slow down using up our natural resources.

  1. Discover one way to reduce harmful gasses in the air.

6. List 2 facts that you did not already know from the Planet Pals

7. Color on-line and print a picture from the list of topics on the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Page..

 

 

The Process

 1. Print out these directions and the study guide that follows.

    2. Read the story, "Sharon Finds The Environment."
    3. Go back to the webquest home page and print out 1 copy of the study guide to fill out. Answer questions 1 and 2.

    5. Answer questions 3,4,5 on the study guide.
    6. Go to the web site: http://www.planetpals.com/fastfacts.html
    7. Answer question 6 on the study guide.
    8. Go to the web site: http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/color.htm
